Miami Tech Works is a $10 million initiative funded by the Good Jobs Challenge, a federal grant through the Economic Development Administration that aims to help train Americans for good jobs by developing and strengthening regional workforce training systems and sectoral partnerships. The project will fuel Miami's tech talent pipeline and catalyze economic mobility for underserved workers.

Miami Tech Works is a partnership to serve thousands of local residents with opportunities to receive training, wraparound services, and job placement services in high-quality technology jobs. Through a strong collaboration between academic institutions, the private sector and government, Miami Tech Works strengthens the regional approach to provide the local community with a full pathway to employment in the growing Miami tech ecosystem.

In February 2023, Miami Tech Works launched the Talent Coalition, an unprecedented collaboration of of employers, academia and community organizations to bridge the gap between employers and tech talent in Miami. Through our four dedicated working groups, we are addressing the needs of the employers in the region and crucial aspects of talent development and industry needs: (1) Emerging Tech Talent, (2) Tech Skills Gap, (3) Inclusive Tech Talent Pipeline, and (4) Small Business Capacity Building.
